I found these questions on Maria's site and they refer to a symposium in Denmark on what Danes believe. I found the questions immediately thought provoking myself, so I'm planning on answering them. Not all today, but probably over the next week or so.

Why is it...

that I haven't taught since October 2000, but I still dream about forgetting playground duty? Was it such a heinous crime that it's burned into my psyche forever?

None this week, so...

I borrowed one from August 2002, just for the fun of it :-)

1. Do you have a car? If so, what kind of car is it?
We have a 1999 Ford. When I first started driving it, it felt like driving a tank. Now I don't notice anymore.

2. Do you drive very often?
Just about every day as I pick up Mr Bear from work. The longest I've gone without driving was in 1993/1994 when I was on holidays in the US. I couldn't cope with driving on the wrong side of the road.

3. What's your dream car?
Don't really have one. Mr Bear however has his heart set on a Monaro.

4. Have you ever received a ticket?
Nope.

5. Have you ever been in an accident?
Well, yeah. Three actually, but they were all 15 years ago right after I learned to drive. The first was backing into a car parked right opposite our driveway, the second was a collision with a bus (don't ask) on a freeway ramp and the third was when a bus moved into my lane, without looking, forcing me into the car in the next lane.

Before...
Reams of smooth white paper and a pencil with a "just right" lead...not too scratchy, not too thick; writing just legible to me.

Now...
Snippets. What matters right now. Word pictures of events that otherwise would swirl away and disappear down the drainhole of my short existence, but now preserved.

My soul laid bare, but not my whole soul for don't imagine that by reading this you know me , for you only know of me what I choose to share. I am not my blog.

In writing I am neither tall nor short, thin nor fat, intelligent, naive, gullible or guileless, I am just me. Read me if I am worth your time, disgard me if you choose.

Swimming

The Olympic Trials in swimming are on tonight and there has already been a crisis. Our world champion, Ian Thorpe, broke in the heats this morning and has been disqualified. How devastating!
