Boxes and bags full; drawers and cupboards full; floors, nooks, crannies and crevices full.
All full of stuff. Stuff we don't need, stuff we can't use, stuff that clutters and inhibits, stuff that steals my time and energy, my enthusiasm and my freedom. It has to go.
There's an op shop at church and it has already been on the receiving end of some of our excess stuff. The shop closes on 18th December, so I've got 21 days to clear out and sort before the shop is shut for the year.
It's ruthless time. Embroidery, scrapbooking, stamping, craft stuff is all going as well. I don't have the vision to be able to cross stitch anymore and my crafty interests are elsewhere these days. I don't have time to scrapbook or make cards, so apart from some special stuff, it's going. The crafty stuff needs sorting into GFS stuff, homeschooling stuff and none-of-the-above. The NOTA stuff goes to the op shop. I can't look at it anymore.
We've got crockery coming out out ears; appliances that we don't use and haven't used for years; pantry items that are taking up space that we're not going to use nor need...Richard Glover's show calls them "bingredients".
Clothes, especially the kids' clothes are a major issue. Chickabid has drawers full and I am so tired of more than 11 loads of washing a week. It's not uncommon to do four or five loads on three or more days a week. Maybe that's normal when you've got kids, but I doubt it. Excess linen i.e double bed sheets etc when we don't own a double bed anymore. Enough pillowcases to fill a pretty big basket; old cushions and cushion covers;
(ended suddenly as I have to take Chickabid to the hospital with asthma)
